Cross-Border Personal Information Notice

1Why information is transferred overseas

Simmel’s servers and database are in Singapore (Alibaba Cloud). Information you enter or generate must be sent there for storage and processing so the service can operate. We cannot provide the service if you do not consent.

2Recipient outside your country

Recipient: Simmel Developer (individual developer), storing and processing information on Alibaba Cloud servers in Singapore. Contact: privacy@simmelai.com.

Cloud provider: Alibaba Cloud Singapore, providing server and storage services only. It may not use your information for its own purposes.

3Information transferred

About you: Account identifier (Apple user ID or sign-in email), name, professional profile, linked phone number or email, purchase records, usage records, and device logs.

About other people you enter: Name or preferred name, nickname, city, department and decision stage, connection strength, optional phone number, WeChat ID and email, and your tags and notes.

4Purpose and method of processing

To store and retrieve your network, calculate coverage and gaps, perform company-level matching among your trusted partners, send related notifications, and protect account security. Information is stored and calculated, then company-level signals are shown to trusted partners according to your settings.

5What we will not do

Use your information for advertising; sell, rent, or trade it; train AI models with it; or provide contact details you entered to any third party.

6Safeguards

Information is encrypted in transit. Contact details are encrypted at the field level and hidden from other users. Partner matching returns only “has a connection” or “willing to introduce,” never names, roles, contact details, or connection strength. At a small company or one where you know only one person, the specific decision stage is not shown. The operations console cannot view anyone’s network, and all operations-console actions are logged.

7Retention period

Information is kept while your account is active. Deleted records are permanently removed after 14 days and may be restored during that period. Previous record versions are kept for 14 days; backups may be retained for up to 31 additional days. After account closure, data is deleted following a 7-day waiting period; backups may remain for up to 31 additional days.

8Your rights and how to exercise them

You may exercise your rights to access, copy, correct, delete, or withdraw consent through the overseas recipient (us). Use My › Privacy & Data or the desktop app, or email privacy@simmelai.com; we will reply within 15 business days. If you withdraw consent, we cannot continue providing the service and will delete your data as described in Section 7.
